Goldfield Old West Town

Goldfield Ghost Town brings visitors back in time to the Old West era of the 1890’s. Founded in 1893 near the Superstition Mountains, prospectors came upon the area in search of gold. The mining town later became known as Goldfield upon the success of the gold findings. The town was populated by 4000 residents during its time and had a hotel, general store, post office, church, and school.

Now a popular attraction visitors can check out the reconstructed town and capture the era where cowboys, outlaws and gold prospectors roamed the rugged landscapes. Get a feel of the Wild West on the dusty streets, explore the many shops and historic buildings, and pan for gold! One of the main attractions is the gunfight show that reenacts the legendary shootouts of the Old West. Skilled actors clad around in cowboy attire and stage a thrilling gun-slinging performance. This dramatic showdown allows visitors to immerse themselves in the excitement and danger of the era.

After the rush of the gun show head on over to the Mammoth Steak House & Saloon for some cold beverages, a famous Mammoth burger and live music. Enjoy the authentic décor of the vintage old west and head to the deck for some jaw dropping views of the Superstition Mountains.

For those seeking a deeper understanding of the region’s history, be sure to check out the Goldfield Museum for some informative insight into the pioneers and minors who shaped the town.

Whether you’re a history enthusiast, adventure seeker or captivated by the old west, Gold Field Ghost Town offers an unforgettable family fun experience.
